IMPROV THANKS Dear Editor, I wanted to thank Avimaan Syam, Robert Faires, and The Austin Chronicle for the excellent piece on the grand opening of the Merlin Works Institute for Improvisation and Gnap! Theater Projects Improv Season [“Merlin Works Institute and Gnap! Theater Season,” Arts, Feb. 22]. It was well-timed, well-written, and gave a clear, accurate description of the event. Thankfully, the Chronicle gives equal exposure to improv and puts it where it belongs – in the Arts section. Improv in Austin is booming, and the Chronicle has helped immensely with that success. |
