Out of Bounds Comedy Festival August 31 – September 8

Out of Bounds is the biggest week of the year for comedy in Austin, and this year it’s even bigger.  Now is a great time to learn about what’s shows are happening, what classes they are offering and how you can get involved. Go to http://www.outofboundscomedy.com/ for all your information.

Here’s the new trailer!

All three of my projects will be performing at OOB
Dusk: Improvised Tween Erotica Wednesday Sept 1st at the SVT Apples Stage (Mainstage)
Girls Girls Girls Improvised Musicals Friday Sept 3rd 9:30pm at Hideout Upstairs
Get Up Saturday Sept 4th at the SVT Apples Stage (Mainstage)
This year during Out of Bounds, I’ll be busy with The Intergalactic Nemesis, the Live Action Graphic Novel playing at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in the Dell Concert Hall, Sept 3rd & 4th at 8pm. So I won’t be performing with Dusk or GGG this year at OOB. I will, however, be just in time to perform with Get Up.

OOB is looking for volunteers. Here’s how to get involved.

Out of Bounds is almost here and we really need your help! OOB is the biggest comedy festival in Austin, bringing acts from all over the country and the world (this year Isreal!). It is a huge festival this year and we need a lot of volunteers to help us make things run.

We will be needing help in the box office, taking tickets, running the workshop doors, and helping give out registration packets. The festival runs from Wed. Sept. 1st to Mon. Sept. 6th and we need volunteers for all of those nights! If you are interested in helping please email me, Emma Holder, at volunteeroob@gmail.com and let me know when and where you would like to help.

here are the times and places we need help the most:

WED: Salvage Vanguard theater:7:30-10pm

THURS. SVT 7:30- 11:30pm and HIdeout 7:00- 11pm

FRI  SVT  7-11:30pm and Hideout at 7-11:30pm

SAT:  6:30pm-11:30pm and Hideout 6:30-11pm

SUN: 5:00-6:00pm  SVT

MON  7:30pm-9:00pm SVT

There will of course be breaks in these longer shifts and we will also be giving volunteers a ticket to a show of their choice (except for the big sunday night shows, sorry) in appreciation for all the hard work!

We are also looking for photographers to help take pictures of shows. Email NAdine at ianthe@gmail.com if you are interested.

There are two staff positions available as well. We need box office managers at both venues who are available to work every night at the venue they are given. These people will be given staff badges and have full access to the shows at their venues when possible.

Thanks so much

Emma Holder
