We all know kids love to play! The big secret is grown ups like to play too! Let’s all play together at the Merlin Works Mixer! Everyone ages 6 and up are welcome to play along!For those of you who don’t know or need a refresher, the Merlin Works Improv Mixer is a low-pressure jam where you can meet, mingle, practice and play with talented improvisers from all over town. The Mixer is a great place for beginners to rehearse and perform and for experienced improvisers to promote their coaching skills. With our new home at the AT&T Education Room at The Long Center, it’s also a great chance to share the joy of improv with the Greater Austin community. And, as always, it’s FREE!Even more, we have themed mixers to tie-in with the exciting programming at The Long Center! In conjunction with Bubblepalooza(August 10th) at the Long Center (picture below), and the new Merlin Works Family Improv Classes starting September 29th, this month’s theme is: Family!

So get ready try new and fun things with your loved ones and other families too! It’s too much fun to miss!

About Karina

Karina Dominguez is the registrar and assistant to the Dean of Merlin Works Institute of Improvisation. She graduated from the Merlin Works program in December 2011 with three performances of "The Amazing Improvised Race." She is a full-time actor with commercial credits such as Burger King, Ford, Totino's, H-E-B and various departments for the State of Texas. She was last seen in the opening episode of the second season of "American Crime", and as the welcome video ranger in the second season of HBO's "The Leftovers". She also performs on-stage in various Austin, TX plays including for Capital T Theatre, The Vortex, Vestige Group, Pollyanna Theater among others.
