8-9:30pm: Improv all-stars of Austin, The Known Wizards, headline this improv comedy showcase with spontaneous scenes, hilarious games, surprisingly good songs, and fantastic stories all made up on the spot based on audience input. Featuring The Four Families…

• ColdTowne —After losing its venue and training center during the pandemic, ColdTowne Conservatory is still going strong, and for good reason – the faculty. ColdTowne’s workshop facilitators bring decades of experience that includes training at Second City, iO Chicago, The Annoyance Theater, UCB New York and L.A., PIT, The Magnet, The Institution, and of course, ColdTowne. Classes are open for registration all the time, and shows are in various pop-up venues and streaming on Twitch while ColdTowne Theater works hard to rebuild.
• The Fallout Theater — Established in 2018, the Fallout Theater focuses on elevating Austin comedy through high-quality programming and instruction, with an emphasis on diversity, experimentation, and community.
• The Hideout Theatre — Bringing avante garde improvisation from some of Austin’s longest-performing professional improvisers. Each of our players is bringing a Bad Idea for the show, and the audience picks which one we run with and transform into the Best Idea of All Time.
• Merlin Works — The Known Wizards, Merlin Works faculty troupe, round out the evening with spontaneous scenes, hilarious games, surprisingly good songs, and fantastic stories all made up on the spot. You say it, they play it—like magic!
