Prerequisite: Must have taken Musical Improv 101-201, or one year of comparable musical improv experience elsewhere as a student or performer. Get a chance to make up a full Broadway musical with a live pianist every week! After reviewing the basics of improvised songs such as rhyming, song structure, song styles, lyrics, duets, and communicating with the musical improviser, we’ll start learning all about musical theater. We’ll explore group numbers, romantic duets, dances and formations, singing through character, narrative arcs, reprises, and more. (7 meetings. Class Size Minimum = 7, Max Limit = 12)
