First Cast Meeting

We just had our first cast meeting last night. It’s such an amazing group of talent. I’m really excited. And realized a lot of them don’t know each other, or at least not very well. So we’re going to need some time to bond as a cast.

We got together at my house for movie night. Note to self: I need to be taking pictures of this whole process for the blog.

It’s a challenge to watch any movie with more than 10 comedians in the room. you have to let everyone get their funnies out. But I think people picked up on the style of the story as well as what is ripe for comedy. I think one of the challenges will be walking the line btwn homage and parody. Playing it straight for comedy. I want to have my cake and eat it too in this show. Have the guilty pleasure of romance and action while getting to make fun on of the messaging and style. And with such a big group, it will be important to unify that tone.

Sunday is the first real on-our-feet rehearsal, I’m very interested to see how it all goes….

Oh so true! I love that we watched it with subtitles because we couldn't here the dialogue over our hilarious, yet boisterous commentaries. Ha!
