Warm up before the 8 o’clock show with some instructor-led improv games! Spots are limited to 45 people.


Instructor Valerie Nies has guided her students through shaping these 5-minute stand-up comedy sets over an 6-week workshop series. This showcase is sold out. *Cash only, standing room tickets will be available for sale at the door.


A new show for grown ups. A guest troupe of graduates from Merlin Works perform followed by a night of games that everyone is welcome to jump in or simply watch. 

Our Merlin Works’ Graduates will open the night with their new format A Slice Of Purgatory. They’ll take you on an adventure through the angelic and devilish alike. An interactive character driven show testing the depths of the truth in everyone. 

The second part of our evening is Yes, We Can Do That! hosted by Paul Normandin. Anyone can jump in and play Improv Games offered by our host or folks from the Audience. 

About Karina

Karina Dominguez is the registrar and assistant to the Dean of Merlin Works Institute of Improvisation. She graduated from the Merlin Works program in December 2011 with three performances of "The Amazing Improvised Race." She is a full-time actor with commercial credits such as Burger King, Ford, Totino's, H-E-B and various departments for the State of Texas. She was last seen in the opening episode of the second season of "American Crime", and as the welcome video ranger in the second season of HBO's "The Leftovers", and as Helah in the first season of "The Chosen". She also performs on-stage in various Austin, TX plays including for Capital T Theatre, The Vortex, Vestige Group, Pollyanna Theater among others.
